STONE WALLS
I build traditional doublestack walls using any type of rock, ranging from cut bluestone to rounded fieldstone. I can rebuild walls that are falling down or create new installations. I build freestanding and retaining walls up to 12 feet tall that are strong and long-lasting. If you are interested in a unique look and an extremely strong design, I also build herringbone walls. If you would like to see a catalogue of different styles and levels of fit an finish, I am happy to provide you with close-up photos of a variety of options. I can build and repair in wader-depth water April through November, or entirely underwater from May to September. |
FEATURES
I build features of all kinds- arches and corbelling to accent a wall, seats, fire pits, pillars, stairs, and sculptures. Whether you are interested in a having a small accent built into an existing wall or a large feature to wander through, I can design and build to suit your goals. I am happy to provide design plans or work to build a design of your own. |
TRAINING
If you would like to take on a project with your own hands but don't know where to start, I can provide on-site training and coaching that is specific to your home project or landscaping team. I am an experienced educator and certified as a dry stone wall instructor through the DSWA. This is an especially cost-effective approach to home projects. I have been contracted to train landscaping crews as large as 28 individuals at a time on commercial projects, and am happy to do such trainings at any point in a commercial project. |

Stonecutting
I also offer stonecutting as a service. Whether you want a boulder cut into pieces for steps or an art piece, or just want to get rid of that rock poking up through your lawn, I can split most rock in the area using the traditional feather and wedge method. I can also carve many types of stone into features such as birdbaths if you would like to modify a boulder in your yard.
